Parliament approved $ 9 billion in Preferred currency for basic commodities

Representatives of Parliament approved $ 9 billion to supply basic goods, medicine and medical equipment based on preferred exchange rate as review of 2022 budget bill.

IBENA- Representatives of Islamic parliament of Iran at a public meeting (Saturday, March 5th), and through review of income section of the 2022 budget bill, determined the resources of preferred currency allocation for basic goods. In this bill, it is estimated $ 9 billion will be allocated in the table of expenditures of this law for supply of basic commodities, medicines and medical equipment and based on preferential exchange rate.



Meanwhile, in the first part of this decree, it was stated that government and executive bodies were subjected to Civil Service Management Law approved on 30th September 2007, including Central Bank, are allowed to allocate, sell, refine or exchange foreign exchange resources from oil exports, gas condensate, petroleum and gas products and other sources are not other than electronic trading system (ETS) rates.
